How to send it for signature

  1. Step 1

    Start from the template

It opens as a document in the editor with both parties' signature, name and date fields already placed. Fill in the bracketed blanks and change any clause.

  2. Step 2

    Add who signs

Put an email address on each party, set the signing order if it matters, add an access code if you want one, and add a viewer for anyone who only needs to read it.

  3. Step 3

    Send it and track it

Each signer gets a link and signs in the browser, no account needed. You see who has opened and signed, and everyone gets the completed PDF with a certificate of completion.

Questions

Does a bill of sale transfer a vehicle title?
No. For a vehicle, the title certificate must still be signed over and filed with the state's motor vehicle agency. The bill of sale is the record of the sale, and the template commits the seller to sign the title.
Does a bill of sale need to be notarized?
Usually not, but some states require notarization or their own form for vehicles or boats. The template says the parties will complete any form the state requires.
What does sold as is mean?
The buyer accepts the item in its current condition, and the seller gives no warranty beyond what is written. The template has a place for any warranty you do want to give.
